Software Globalization
Globalization is the process of making a product ready for localization. This process includes implementing correct coding practices that enable an efficient and cost-effective localization into multiple languages and cultural conventions.
The process usually involves the following steps:
  • Unicode enabling: code adaptation, data manipulation, text encapsulation with Unicode macros, etc.
  • Locale / Cultural awareness: date format, sorting, calendar, currency, etc.
  • Input, display, and output: Fonts, keyboards & IME, word breaking, Complex Script awareness, etc.
  • MUI (multilingual) support: satellite resource DLLs, etc.
  • Localizability: Resource extraction, string handling, etc.
  • By leveraging its localization and software development experience, EYRON provides globalization services for companies interested in making their products and Web sites localization-ready.
